Shirley A. Keegan
Clifton Park - Shirley A. Keegan, formerly of Troy, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace O'Neil Zukowski and the wife of the late William Keegan.
Educated in Watervliet Schools, Shirley was retired from the NY Department of Labor following a 27-year career. Shirley is survived by her children William (Carol) Keegan,
Kimberly (Joseph) Felitte; her grandchildren Elizabeth (Chase) McFarland, Kathleen Keegan, Brendan Keegan, Kevin Keegan, Emily Keegan, Alyssa (Bradley) Penk, Alec (Kristen) Felitte and her great grandson Bradley Penk Jr.. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was predeceased by her son Daniel Keegan, siblings Grace Rawson, William Zukowski, James Zukowski, Elizabeth Agopovich and Robert Zukowski.
Shirley was a resident of Troy for over 64 years sharing a wonderful life with her husband whom she married on June 6,1953. Following her retirement, Shirley enjoyed following the New York Mets, cross stitch, soap operas, reading and completing puzzles. The family would like to thank Fresenius Kidney Care in Latham and Saratoga County Hospice for their exceptional care given to Shirley.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Troy on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., family and friends are invited to visit Shirley's family on Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. in the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Avenue, Troy. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution to St Jude Children's Research Hospital1325 G Street NW Washington 20005.
