Sharon Marie (Stickelmyer) McCanney-Goodrich lived on this earth from November 23, 1949 - September 18, 2022 and was loved by many. Sharon was born in Troy, New York to parents John J. “Jack” and Alice M. Stickelmyer. She passed away surrounded by her loving family at Albany Medical Center. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and two nieces Jennifer and Ariel Stickelmyer.

Sharon was a graduate of Hudson Valley College and worked as a hairdresser for many years finishing her career life as a waitress. She was a loving and kind person whose smile and laughter brought joy to all who knew her. She loved music, watching sports, her cats, and watching the birds in her yard.

Sharon is survived and remembered by her companion John Goodrich; brothers Michael “Mike” Stickelmyer, James “Jimmy” Stickelmyer, and Joseph “Joe” Stickelmyer; daughter and son-in-law Robin and Shannon Jones, granddaughter Amanda Enos and husband Joseph, granddaughter Deborah Galvin, grandson Aubrey Galvin, step granddaughter Shannise Jones, and step grandson Shain Jones; daughter and son-in-law Shelly and John Aiken, granddaughter Jessy Faubion, grandson Jeremy Faubion and wife Ashley, and grandson John Aiken Jr; daughter Carley McCanney, grandsons Mathais Ortiz and Anthony McCanney; son and daughter-in-law Jacob and Kaitlyn McCanney, grandsons Chase, Tyler, and Roman and  granddaughters Abbey, Alayna, Skylar, Kenna, and Addelyn; nieces Amelia Stickelmyer, Shannon Stickelmyer, Jamie Stickelmyer, and Kayla Stickelmyer; 13 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held on October 1st at a location and time that will be provided by personal invitation.
